A self-portrait inspired by the theme of the month. Was done entirely myself. 5 images assembled together.

You love to look at your flash, don't you? :p

    Very cool concept :)

There is something wrong with the picture, though. I just can't put my finger on it... Composition, maybe?

Sorry, this post wasn't very helpful. I'll come back when i know what it is... :)

It's a cool picture, but as Smilodon point's out, there's something wrong. I think at least one of you needs to be closer to the front of the image so we can better see the reaction on your face. Perhaps the one in the middle or possibly far right.

The red light seems a bit to sharp... It's annoying to my eyes atleast. Perhaps it would be cool if you could do something about all the "black" at the background? Perhaps framing it would be an idea, just to limit it a bit. Maybe you could make the texture youre standing on connect at all 5 shots (as i see its the same through all 5 pictures?)

But its a creative setup at least :) Nice posing

haha, I find this a very fun picture.

The red gel does blow out your facial features, but I guess that can't be helped unless you turn down the flash power but then it wouldn't be as overly dramatic?

And I think the problem may be from the lack of "ground". You only see a little puddle of ground then space between each pose. That was bothering me.

Edit: Whoops, Mr-IK above me said it re: ground

I love your creative use of flash, this and last months :hip:

It makes me want a second flashgun and wireless triggers!

    I agree very much. :)

I think execution wise you could pull this off better but the idea and originality is ace.

I think that it probably mostly has to do with my lack of photoshop skills....I had wantned to connect the ground so that it was not just patches, but it was turning fugly when I tried. I am really weak in the editing.....

Did you shoot it with the camera in the same position for all shots?
In such case you could perhaps have made a sixth exposure where you just flashed the ground?
I don't reckon that would be all too hard to combine in PS.

If you don't mind I'd like to try combining the 5 if you'll share the RAW files.

I'd love to let you have a go at it, but since my hosting is down I need to either send them via email or find another space. PM me if you want to send me an address, etc.

Oh and dont hate me when you open them if they are a pain....
