What's the provenance of your Windows install/key? What does the activation troubleshooter come back with?

Comes back with a code 0xc004f213 says something prevented us from communicating with our activation servers.wait a few minutes and try again later.
Then when i try the troubleshot it finds a older version of my pc but will not let me active it.
I upgraded for free with windows 7 years ago,i may just buy a new key as they are cheap enough these days, can you recommend a safe place to get one?

I have no affiliation with them, and there are marginally cheaper options available, but I've had a perfect streak with ecokeys.co.uk. Aside from a slightly convoluted payment method, it's a genuinely UK-based company with an actual customer services department should you hit any issues.

    Great news!

Making the "no resale" part of software EULAs illegal was one of the best things the EU ever did.
