Seems she is a whore too. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2239272.ece Families like that need executing tbfh.
exactly how i felt when i read about this. i would say it's shocking, but quite frankly, anything that happens in this country doesn't shock me anymore.
I'm not sure that even that much consideration went into it. I think it was just ineffectual parenting to the max. Some parents reason that it is better that their 14-year old daughter has sex with an "approved" boyfriend in relatively "controlled" conditions under their roof than that she has drunken/drugged sex in some toilet cubicle somewhere with God knows who. After all, they can't stop her... Except that they could, if they had bothered to build a decent parent-child relationship with her when she was a toddler, complete with boundaries and parental authority. But probably her parents were hardly any older when they had her and her siblings. Note that the 13-year old boy has five other siblings also, with his 40+ year-old dad having left his wife for a 19-year old friend of his eldest daughter. Not exactly a ringing endorsement to responsible and mature parenting himself.
Charge or no charge, had it been the other way round (a boy who looks 15 and a girl who looks 8), it would have been trail by media. One thing to note though, apparently the parents are now trying to do media deals, to milk it for all it's worth, which may not be such a bad thing, because presumably they wouldn't be able to claim their 30grand or so of benefits they get for a least the 2 years it would take them to waste it all.
Totally agree if you in the first part. They are in "a phase of self-assertion" as we would say were I live, however I belive it's not a "daddy" issue it's a problem for both parents and it's to speak about sex, drugs or whatever with our siblings and if you really need some extra help a mom or dad still is a good "safe path".
I'm not saying that it is a "daddy" issue specifically. I'm assuming that the father is a fairly representative example of the parents of both of these children.
Apparently 2 other boys are now claiming to be the father... Personally I'd keep my mouth shut if I'd done it.
It's all just one huge publicity stunt. If someone else claims to be the father, esp 16/17-year-olds, the tabloids (esp shitty ones like The Sun) print all sorts of crap and those leeches get paid for 'em. They want to be the seediest family on the planet.
anyone ever seen Idiocracy? lol Seems like the further this goes the worse I feel about it. Screw the damn parents what about that poor little girl who just got brought into a world within this undeniably terrible family structure!
Everyone is saying that if the guy had been older he would have been done for statutory rape, but in response to that, my cousin had a kid at 15 to a 35 year old. But she didn't want him prosecuted, so her parents and the courts were unable to press charges. Now THAT is f***ed up!
The problem would have been that without her statement there would be no evidence --unless they did a paternity test on the child. Then he could be prosecuted regardless of what she wanted. She doesn't get to decide. She's a minor after all, see?
Her father's a lawyer, trust me they investigated many avenues, and still could not find a way to press charges.
It may be f'ed up, but it's not terribly uncommon. It's more uncommon that such a youthful looking kid has a baby. Personally, I couldn't care less about the circumstances of the birth, whether they should be allowed to keep it etc. I'm more bothered that The Sun decided it was front page news. What kind of message does that send out to other 13 year old boys? That if they have a baby at their age they are instantly made a celebrity? Not a wise move, from the Sun. But then Tabloids and wisdom seldom come hand in hand (ie, never).
