Please keep things respectful in here.

I don't want to have to be so blunt but, given the circumstances, disrespectful posts will be removed and I will not hesitate using the banhammer on those that fail to treat the situation with utmost respect. If you don't have anything nice to say, please hit the back button.

    Thanks,
    Tim

More from a Mail On Sunday article here.

I'm not normally one to post in the Serious Discussion, but when I heard the name Ryan Garside on Radio 1's Newsbeat, I felt compelled to post. My condolences to her family and Ryan, who worked for bit-tech recently. Did anyone else make the connection?

Yes, made the connection as soon as I saw him the 10 o'clock news :(. Terrible thing to happen - my thoughts are with Ryan and Lindsay's family at this difficult time.

My condolences to Ryan, and to Lindsay's family. The pain in Ryan's face in the press conference was so sad.
Let's hope the police can bring whoever did it down.

    How awful :(

I saw him on the news conference yesterday or whenever and thought 'Poor bloke' - he was understandably in pieces.

To find out now that he's one of ours makes it even worse.

My thoughts go out to Ryan and Lindsay's family too.

    Oh dear lord.

Having just read the article all I can say is that nothing any one of us can say will ever put this right, and from both of us over here we are really sorry to hear what's happened. Our thoughts are truly with you.

I didn't realise it was the same Ryan until I read this thread. That's an absolutely terrible thing to happen to anyone, and my thoughts are with Ryan and the entire Hawker family.

things like this always make me question the possibility of a "higher power"...i am sorry for your loss, and more sorry for her and what she must have gone through before she died. it is nice that bit-tech made this information public to us...i hate how this kind of news is normally only broadcast for the rich and famous, as if the normal people of the world dont matter...take care
