I don't really like the look of it, but hay that's what modding is for :dremel: it looks generic now but someone will make it look awsome :thumb:

I know Joe is new, and when you are new you tend to be enthusiastic, but why did this review cover 4 pages.

The review should have read 'This is the Revoltec Zirconium. Eugh! Boy, it's one ugly mother. Don't buy it. Fin.' 1 line, 1 paragraph, 1 page. Sorted.

Was it designed by the same guy who did the Olympic logo?

How the company have a nerve to charge for this is beyond me...

If something is bad I'd want to know why. Bit-Tech is known for indepth reviews so having a short review on a product could be seen as bias towards something that is good.

Anyway least it mentions in the first paragraph how bad the case is so there isn't any real need to read the rest of the review unless your that interested in it.

@Hiren - It obviously wasn't clear that my post was tongue-in-cheek.

Of course, BT have to conduct the review like any other... [but I bet at no point do Joe think that the case was going to redeem itself once he opened it up].

We went over four pages to check the case fully. For all we knew it may have looked disgusting, but have been able to handle heat better than any other case ever.

Of course, it didn't, so we thought you'd like to know that too.

Besides, if I'd just said that it sucked then you'd have wanted to know why! :D

    Ah my mistake. :duh:

Having seen this case in the flesh I do agree it's a pile of junk.

If it were made of flesh, it would have been a worth novelty case!

@Joe - I know we should consider performance as the most important factor (especially since my P180B is hidden beneath a desk) but I just couldn't buy a case like that no matter how well it performed.

It says a lot that even though the case is silver, it still comes across as 'beige'!

This ones on me... you can use it for next time. There will likely be a 'next time' before long.

Prior to my current machine (see sig) I've always had an off the shelf PC. And for a long time I've recommended Dells to people. Decent kit and usually fairly decent contemporary cases.

But since I've got my new kit, I've set my standards fairly high. And consequently there are only a handful of top quality cases I'd ever consider. Fair enough not everybody has the same budget though.

My point is... (wait for it) ...that I'm now amazed at how many crap, plastic, beige-esque cases there are will nasty sharp edges inside with poor thermal and acoustic design are still being sold. It's like in a world where Maserati cars are increasingly affordable, yet people still buy Trabants.

    I think I'm perhaps just a snob.

I'd like a Maserati then, but the price.. And a Fiat is too "generic" for me. Ended up buying an Alfa Romeo 75 and a Gigabyte 3D Aurora case..
Love them both for their price. :D

This case is based off the ThermalTake Soprano chassis, and is used by a few other companies like PowerUP. The PowerUp version(I have on in pieces) is a decent case with loads of potential... especially if that crappy HDD cage was gone. But wil 2 Panoflow fans on a controller, it really does keep the system quite cool.

Jeese Da Dego, they got to you too.... Another victim to this incredibly obscene avatar that bit-tech-ians are trending tward. You were Hobbs, now you are filth.... Not really :D

The opening sentence for this article is arguable. Not everyone looks for style as "the" main feature of their case. Silence, form factor, and cooling for example are some considerations when buying a case.

It's selling to the same market that Thermaltake loves to. Kids who don't understand subtley and must have everything branded across in huge letters and the more ridiculous it looks the better.

Hint to Revoltec. Thermaltake has been doing it for ten years now, don't think that you know anything about this alleged 'style' that they don't.
