Probably yes... But it must have "left steering" conversion then Strange Never thought about it since all the informations bout speeds are in mph on that web...

    That's one awsome dyno run!

Couldn't they just have mph clocks? I know that cars that are native to Austraila and New Zealand are in KPH.

Im saying ive seen several HUNDRED quarter mile runs that way better in terms of acceleration and smoothness in shifting.

Ill look for some videos of 1000hp runs with PROPER shifting

I agree with that - the gearchange is very lumpy: you can hear the redline squeal on the video with the burnout start on it.

Still a bloody nice car though. :)

Also, the lines aren't moving quickly enough on that "120mph" video - i think he's only doing 75mph... :)

As I have "experiences" from watching many videos like that, the camera usually make things slover

The first video is when the car was in street trim. (600WHP)

This vehicle is much different now. Site is probably a little out dated but lists:

    "
Current power: Greater than 1 Megawatt (~1,350 BHP) at over 3.0 Kg/cm2

Current weight: 1,345 Kg (~2,960 lbs) as raced with fuel and driver. Weight increase due to requisite safety equipment.

Best result: Best ET of 8.273 and best trap speed of 167.76 mph. Using only 10,500 rpm rev limit (estimated ~1,100 BHP)

*: Run done at estimated 66% power potential. Still much more to go, yet! :)

    "

    see www.exvitermini.com for more info!

And please pay particular attention to the F.A.Q's

Oh my God, another of those "WORSHIP SKYLINE" threads...

Yea 1350hp is alot. Though I bet it only has that much at trackdays and such. No car engine could stand that amount of stress in everyday traffic.
Come on guys, we've been over this before :worried:

Aussies Use KPH. Yep jap import the cars a impreza wrx 22b!! (JDM only i believe) The speedo will only go to 180kph unless it has an aftermarket item.

What the speedometer shows as numbers doesnt matter. It may be showing 200kph, but it only runs 185kph.
And the Impreza only running 180kph doesn't seem very unlikely since it's a rally car and therefor low geared.
    Nothing extraordinary in that

    man that things fast :jawdrop:

what's all this crap about being 120mph not being fast...

did you see the speed at which that dam car accelerated from 120mph :eeek:

i would say it was doing atleast 150mph at the end of the clip...

LOL do you not know what a speed cut defender is?? and no it is not a rally car, it is a street car.

webbyman: its accelerating from 120KPH... This was when GTR700 was in street trim @ 600WHP

Before anyone else posts un-informed. I suggest reading up and viewing at least some of the videos on the website!!!!!!!!!!!!!

things like that seem less impressive when you're talking turbos....

i still prefer the raw torque from an old stroker over the turbo whine of a 10krpm engine

Why not do both? Twin turbo a stroked V8 engine (after you supercharge it of course:D).

it's been done, lingenfelter is known to do it with corvettes... so it's not too uncommon...

but in the case of the above skyline, i'd be interested to see max torque....
