    Yeah, I just checked it out and saw that.

    But the bittech article specifically says "If you're a college or university student in the US, Great Britain or Canada and have a valid email address that end in ".edu", which obviously isn't correct.

    Tbh, I'd rather support OOo and open standards rather then buggy poorly documented pseudo propriety ones.

    What about .sch.uk? Alot of students fall into those too......

    The .ac.uk domain is only for universities and six form colleges etc as far as i'm aware, whereas schools get the .sch.uk - so it looks like the offer is only open to uni students.

    im game for this.

    It says they will send you out disks for a small extra charge but i cant find out at what stage of the process the option for that is?

    NHS and some other government employees can get a copy for £17,95 under the Home Licence Scheme.

    Nice one from MS there, good un cheep yayz0rs.

    Most CompSci courses offer the MSDNAA though, so if you are at uni doing compsci you should be able to get it from there for free

    Just don't look forward to running that on Windows XP. It runs beautifully on Vista, but there's something different going on behind the scenes when you run it under XP. I was trying to do some data analysis in Excel 2007 on a friend's computer, and even with a Core 2 Duo and 2GB of RAM, the system was absolutely crawling when I was working with graphs.
