    I can also see something like that, with good dev support, becoming a good option for people developing all kinds of embedded devices. It leapt to the top of my list for a personal project I'm working on. A 500MHz XScale board for that money is very decent, quite apart from the other stuff it has onboard.

    I just had a closer look on the price page and if you want ONE with LCD, keypad, battery, GSM and WiFi it would set you back 867,5$:wallbash:

    122$ is the price for the bare board in 1k units with the 312mHz cpu. Would be nice to get one but its cheaper to buy a pocketPC and hack the hell out of it :D

    for all the add ons and specs you list, I'm had pressed to find the part that lets it connect to a cell system thus making it a smart PHONE

    Look here under GPRS&cell phone. Costs 94$ time 2.5 if you buy only one.

    Too bad it only has GPRS. It should have EDGE or HSDPA or UMTS or something a little better.

    Then it might be worth the hefty price tag with the add-ons.
