Hi Guy's Well after the shuttle mod (wat was sold before complete) and the black cheiftec mod (wat was sol before complete ) I'm now working on a mod that ahs 2 befinish.. it is the replacement of my mainmachine and it has 2 run for 3 years before replacement.. so it has 2 have a mobo and some power what would last 3 years. So here the hardware list... Asus A8N SLI Deluxe AMD Athlon 64 3500+ s939 1024 Corsair TwinxLed DDR500 2x MSI 6800GT 256mb SLI Creative audigy2 ZS 2x Western Digital Raptor 74Gb in Raid 0 2x NEC 3520 DVDwriter Silentmaxx 480watt PSU Nice config huh Since the pc must be up and running NOW because my notebook has deid i did the following. CPU cooled with a Scythe kamikaze cpu with RED led fan the 6800's will be cooled with Arctic Silencers. All case fan's will be replaced with aluminium red led fans. PSU fan's replaced with aluminium red led fans All blue led's will be replaced with RED. Some current pics: It is really RED.. pics are bit weird in dark... Since this make lots of noise i'm going 4 watercooling but.. the case is 2 small so...........................
I was directly wondering, is a single PSU enough? if you have some CCFL's, lights and extra fan's i'm almost shure it isn't with the fact that is should last 3 years in my mind.
hey ferry (zit ook op got ) It runs fine on a single PSU.... i had it running on a 360 watt chieftec with no prob... When i calculate it is uses 490 max... so a single 480should be enough... the fans in the psu dont run full speeds even after 10 hours of gaming

just get rid of the a8n sli deluxe, follow my words it sux chipset fan SUCKS BIG TIME mine died after 3 months and if you intend to OC is the worst mobo because it has a 1t issue so you have to run your mem at 2t
Well i have 2 overlook the PSU again i think...... Well got some WC stuff in... Some nice red PUR hose.. i really like this stuff it doesn't bend Coolermaster fronts.... which dont fit on the nec's Aqua Computer airplex EVO 240 the grill that fitts is currently getting a nice polishjob This is a small 2x 80mm fans radiator i wanted to use it 2 cool the cpu and the chipset. .. but i had another idea the case with the large vidcards are pretty full... so... You take a wavemaster and drill all the rivets out than you get this. After some a late night @ work with my I have created this The idea is: make one loop with 2 rads.. according from my WC supplier the innovatek pump (12v) is powerfull enough 2 run it. The rads will be fitted in the 1/2 wavemaster. And that will befitted under the normal case
Looks great! But yeah, the ASUS chipset fan on the A8N-SLI is pretty weak. You should probably water cool the northbridge as well.
yes i will cool the chipset as well... the fan i really irritating but hey...althose f*cking little fans are irritating.. Here a little view how it would be The top of the 1/2 wavemaster is not on it at this picture

those things are worthless, completely inaccurate. Sorry, but that really couldn't have been a more useless post. My recommended PSU is like minimum 605w with those things, and I'm about 95% sure my system won't draw a wall load of over 400w (realisically, probably just over 300w loaded). That is one of the more well-made ones I've seen but the numbers are still way off. Yeah the CS fan on the A8N SUCKS. Mine died in about three weeks or so (on my second board). But it's the only SLi board that's really suitable to have the chipset cooled with most blocks due to the layout. Like the design so far. Are you going all/mostly Aqua Computer?
yes aqua computer all the way... i really like german WC systems.. DD is not my type hose is far 2 thick... Innovatek is ok but are missing on some points.. awua is perfect

I went mental seeing a tiny tiny dent on the side of my Wavemaster... how would I handle seeing one cut in half, with another abusing it on top ;_;
I think it would look better on top also.. and see if you can get rid of that little 'gap' between ur own made 'case' and the actual case. Would look real real good.. And shoot some pics so we can maybe vote on it, I just wanna see how it looks like.
I like it up to the point where i saw the blue Fan controler.... I'm thinkin mod time and put some red LED's in that bad boy! P.S. The box at the bottom of it reminds me of one of those cooling units for the Lian Li cases!!!!
