    Foxconn nominated as runner-up for title “Components Vendor of the Year”

    During Channel Middle East Awards 2008 ceremony among with Intel, AMD and Western Digital.

    U.A.E., Dubai, March 26th 2008 – As a global leader in components manufacturing Foxconn were selected by respected judges board and readers of ITP Publishing Group to participate with nomination to “Components Vendor of the Year” category for Channel Middle East Awards 2008.

    Foxconn were granted nominee position among Intel, AMD and Western Digital in 2008 which really underline position of the Foxconn in Middle East in team with world wide leaders.

    Foxconn as he only one and single pure Motherboards Vendor were selected to participate within this category as well as a result of achievements in Middle East market, aggressive and result oriented approach with strong communication links with local partner companies as Foxconn, when other vendors felt far behind of short-listed participants.

    The decision about winner in this category were made by respected judges represented by IDC, Local Middle East Distributors and representatives of ITP Publishing Group, who work with Channel publications for many years and deep with understanding of current Channel situation in region.

    During ceremony were announced winner in the category “Components vendor of the Year” and in 2008 Intel grabbed the final award and our warm congratulations and respect to great achievements in Middle East as well. Foxconn meanwhile still keep position of “nominee” and “runner-up” for that category and committed to continue it is course in future as one of the most trusted and well known IT Components Vendor for Middle East, India and Africa territories as well as globally.

    Foxconn grabbed in 2008 about 24% of total Market Share in Middle East region for Motherboards, Chassis, Coolers and VGA cards started expansion in 2004 only from completely “zero ground” at the area over-penetrated by other brands. Since 2007 India market were added to operations from Middle East and add strong value for total turnover from Africa, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia as well as whole GCC region. Startup of local Hub for Foxconn branded products in Jebel Ali Free Zone granted to all partners of Foxconn unbeatable flexibility orders and with high speed of delivery of goods as well across all MEIA territories.

    Nomination of Foxconn branded products also underline strong focus of the company for promotion and branding across region with strong support of local partners-distributors from marketing side. Most partners enjoy with wide advertising campaign supported by Foxconn worldwide, specially designed “point of sales” kits decoration materials, wide range of promotional giveaway items which put Foxconn brand far ahead of competitors in IT components field.
