Not everyone has days upon days of time to pour into a case mod. However, that doesn't mean that the quick builds need to look like a wire explosion on the inside and boring black on the outside! Years of modding have made companies develop some great products that make formerly huge projects into ten minute mods.

Right, that's it - I'm taking my side panel off tonight, sanding the paint off, and cutting a big hole in the side ready for me to find some plexi to Araldite in.

Nice article, I think I might pick up one of those internal HDD enclosures to shut up my Raptor once and for all.

Never knew about EL sata cables and two-way mirrors (I did know about it but never thought of using it). Is it possible to use EL wire on a two way mirror or is that silly?

Nice article Bindi Da Dego :)

Hey now, bindi doesn't do the modding :p I do :) And thanks. :)

As for the 2 way mirror - to be honest, I never thought about that. I think I have some mirror plexi hanging around, and I know I have an EL kit somewhere round here... might have to give it a try and report back to you!

£20 for some foam..... or use some egg container? how well do they work with my p182 case?
another question: my Antec pro (not TriCool, the ones have 3pin mobo connector) fan will resonate at a certain RPM.... eg, at 1200rpm, very quiet; at 1500rpm, resonates, very annoying; at 1700rpm, quiet enough. now grommets probably won't cure this, any way of changing the fan's property to make it quiet at all rpm?

just this morning, i re-did all my cables, now is a bit nicer. well said in your article on cable management issues.
the issue about data cable and power cables: i run all my SATA cable through the back of my mobo tray, on p182, together with all the power cables (including 24pin, 2* PCIe cables). should i be alerted?

I though the quickest way to mod was to have bit-tech send me one!

Great article! The new Feser tubing sounds interesting, although it looks a bit costly.

This is actually done fairly regularly at SPCR, and it's quite reliable. (according to them) They use elastic cords though. Here's a link to their forum gallery.

Yeah, from my understanding the rubber bands break under prolonged exposure to heat and vibration... Elastic however doesn't. But like going outside of the norm on anything, just be careful and check on your work often.

And yeah, good to see people who work in the modding industry on here :) Now I know where to complain (errr... I mean... well, they're more likey to get my cash in the first place! :) )
