I loved the original TV series, and still occasionally find myself humming the theme tune. If the game/show/movie can preserve the feeling of utter off the wall insanity of the original games and show, this can only be a good thing.

Oh man, I remember playing Earthworm Jim on the Super Nintendo. It was definitely a fun game and I sat up in my chair as soon as I read the title of the news bit. I hadn't read or heard that name in SO LONG, so I was surprised to find my mind immediately racing back to nostalgic memories of sitting on my livingroom floor with the SNES controller and playing Earthworm Jim with my brother for hours.

^^ What he said. I'd love to find this on DVD somewhere.

.oO(but shouldn't that be "udder off the wall insanity"? :D)

The cartoon was genuinely very good, one of the few games to TV conversions that worked really well. I remember little about the sequals but the first game rocked hard. Even if the final boss was a total let down: one whip = dead.
