Do we have any reliable sources yet? Surprised none of the big boys are showing stock, there's a third party Italian seller on Amazon which I wouldn't trust.

Can't find anything about it. AMD's naming decision is confusing Google's shopping algorithm - when I searched it for the AF it's mixing up the Amazon listing you mentioned with the shops selling the original 1600.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Processeur-AMD-RYZEN5-Socket-YD1600BBAFBOX/dp/B07XTQZJ28/

There it's in stock at 15 sellers - but I would be very dubious when ordering from any of them frankly, especially considering that they may also be confusing the 1600 with the 1600AF and you may end up with the wrong chip...

It feels a bit like an OEM chip doesn't it? I know it's not, but it is elusive.

wasn't it CCL that had some, when I looked though it was just giving an alternative item code, so it'd be a risk as to which one you got.

They had some listed on eBay, somebody on HUKD said " CCL have confirmed its a 1600AF ", find it hard to believe they're the only person "selling" them though.

They could have done such a better job of naming it... It's a refreshed 2600 with lower clock speeds. So a 2nd gen Ryzen chip using a 1st gen Ryzen name (1XXX) and not related at all to the 1600 AE

Yeah, Ryzen 2550 would have been a much more logical name.

You can find it at PcComponentes.com a Spanish shop that ship in all Europe, I use them for a lot of parts, 100% Trustworthy, I bought and reviewed a 1600AF a couple of weeks ago from them.
