160gb for $100

    id just like to point out that office depot is having a bit of a thing on maxtor 160gb 7200rpm 8mb cache drives for $100, i know im buying a couple :D

    aiming for a terabyte

    Awhile back Staples had some 200GB drives for the same price, I'm rather pissed that I missed out on that one. I just orded a 160 WD from Ofice Depot for 100 bucks, so I'm OK I suppose.

    Frys had 'em for $90 a while back, with $70 rebates...

    Me dad got one and I got one, but the sales person messed up the receipts so that we're only getting one of the $70 rebates...

    :grr:

    Nice drives though! Got 'em running in RAID 0 at the mo :rock:

    Got one form Comp usa, it worked great! came with free pci card, for dma 133 or to add more drives.. i think i should steal it from my friend:hehe:

    i dont think they are doing it on teh web as i just went to office depot today and picked some up
    yipee

    EDIT: just thinking that there should be some kind of "hey check this out" forum or even just a sticky, in hardware or modding or forsale or something, like one for the us and one for the uk. it muyst be at least once a week that i see a "hey so and so has an offer for only $/£*** on whatsamajigs"

    maybe kind of just a thread that there are only posts informing everyone of cheap prices and not loads of replies where it could get confusing

    just a suggestion mind you

    Or a subforum so people can start their own thread when they find something on offer, then people can discuss it, and the creator of the thread should beable to lock it when the offer has finished (like the forsale forums)
