    Core i7 Extreme 975 has a 3.33GHz. Put two of them on a suitable MB and you've got a real devil of a system 6.66 Ghz (sic):D

    Wow, that's an incredible price. How anyone could justify that price when the i7 920 is £240 is beyond me.

    I know, twas lame joke! But, no doubt Intel will launch a 3.33 Ghz Nehalem Xeon at some point.

    Also just spotted NTEL Core i7-950 3.06GHz LGA1366 4.8GT/sec OPI 8Mb Retail Boxed BX80601950 on one of the sites listing the 975, another new model? or one that i missed?

    I thought the latest EP Xeons hit 3.33 anyway? My old 5500 xeons are at 3.33 though ;) so wee

    I7 920 -> I7 920, new stepping
    I7 940 -> I7 950, slight clock speed bump, new stepping
    I7 965 -> I7 975, slight clock speed bump, new stepping

    how about we all get together for a mid night raid on a retail store and get ourselves one of these each. lol, no idea who would buy a processor at almost 1k, you could buy all your components with an i7 920 for that price.
