Shame FarCry 2 ain't worth playing, no matter the resolution.

Somrthing like X3 would be impressive to see at that res.

It says on the spec card, that it's an Asus MK221. But that's only a 22" monitor, so I have no idea.

    Isn't the MARS 2* GTX 285 (more powerful than a single 295) ?
Still, 2 of them in a PC represent 0.2% of the Total MARS commercially available...

so each one's got 4GB of memory... but i thought they were memory bandwidth limited anyway? i guess you wouldn't see such a problem with 2 of them in SLI... i'm confused

The MARS GTX295 is essentially 2 x 2GB GTX285 cards put together in the same way that a GTX295 is built. It really only has 2GB of memory in the same way the standard GTX295 really only has 896mb of memory available.

In theory though the GTX295 only sucks in quad SLI due to a lack of memory (at the resolutions where quad SLI is useful the cards don't have enough memory to really show the benefit) but these should fly thanks to essentially double the memory AND more raw GPU horsepower.

8GB of VRAM and no AA = what's the point.

Maybe the AA is being controlled by the drivers and not the game in this case.

    Overkill.
And why on earth would I want to spend £500+ [just a guess] on a DX10 graphics card now? A couple of months before DX11?

    MEH!

LOL yeah but IMO a resolution of 3840x2160 were also have no point, it would need to be played on a (maybe) 30"+ display and you would need to sit very close to it to be able to tell the difference. I'd say it's an overkill. I'd better go with 2048x1152 and 4x or 8x AA, it would be more than sufficient for a 30"+ display.
