Any info on price yet? Think they're gonna release the 5 series like the 4 series and do a 5850 @ £130? If so I might wait and get one if they're pretty good.

Does Tessellation have anything to do with AF?

    What is it, exactly?

Finally, with tesselation now an official part of DX11, we might actually see some use out of the damn thing. Although I suppose the fact that ATI has supported it for a while, even if it hasn't been used, can only be a strong advantage for ATI. Very glad they didn't drop it when no one used it.

With nVidia making the move to MIMO and ATI having a great headstart with tesselation, the next generation of cards from each is shaping up to be very interesting.

Does anyone ever wish that ATI move back to their old naming scheme?

With the XTX'es, XTs, and GTOs?

At any rate, I can see ATI getting the upper hand, and then see Nvidia Complaining, sooo...it'll be like DX10 ALL over again.

I see Nvidia releasing a DX11 part when there is some point to it. With all of two games supporting 10.1 (Clear Sky and probably one other), it was clearly a waste of time. There are more games & applications supporting PhysX/CUDA hardware accelleration than 10.1 and it is not as if Physx has been a roaring success either.

Maybe upper hand with tesselation, but we have yet to see how it performs, and also have no idea how well nVidia's shift to MIMO will go. Either way, I wouldn't be calling it any time soon.

I prefer the new scheme. It's more straightforward.

Before, we had XTX, XT, Pro, Pro SE, no suffix, GTO, AIW, and I remember thinking once that the Pro was beter than the XT.
    Hey, it was Pro!! :\

You would've been right with nVidia where XT was inferior to... almost everything IIRC. :)

Well what 4xxx series cards do they have?

    4350, 4550, 4650, 4670, 4730, 4770, 4830, 4850, 4870, 4890

They could have probably named the 4890 an XGTOPWNZORZ version but w/e.
