    People wanting a small portable device have been buying netbooks instead. The cost of a MID at the moment cannot be justified as for the same price you can get a very good normal laptop.

    Yes, you either buy a smartphone, which is perfectly adequate for Facebook, or a netbook. If you need mobile internet access on your netbook you can use your smartphone to connect it :)
