    Looks like other Sandforce SSDs are already out there though - Scan is listing the OCZ Agility 2E in 60GB and 120GB capacity on preorder, and the OCZ Vertex 2 in 50GB and 100GB capacity as in stock. Sorry if this is old news, but it was new to me!

    Price seems fair. These SandForce drives need to get on over to the SATA 3 bandwagon, though. The Crucial C300 has already proved that read speeds are waaaaay past the 3Gbps limit, so why are they still releasing SSDs that are obviously held back by the bus?

    Because there haven't been any SATA 6gbps drive controllers for SSD's released yet. You probably won't see them until later this year at least.

    Oh I stand corrected on the existence of SATA 6gbps drives the rest of my point still stands for the other controllers from Sandforce, Intel, Indilinx. You need support from the controller and that won't happen till they release new revisions. I was recalling from an AT article that they should be coming later this year but probably wrong on that too lol.

    You can have it(c300) in the UK now from Crucial's website. Its good to see more choice, which in turns leads to price drops. :D

    Unfortunately the C300 seems to have broken TRIM support, otherwise I'd be picking one up with my new build. It was meant to be fixed in a firmware update, but the update was pulled shortly after release as it was bricking the drives. Fun times.

    No, according to Anandtech, the C300 isn't a very good drive. I almost bought the 128GB version a while back but I read about the sketchy firmware updates, inconsistent performance and TRIM issues and decided to hold off. But given that the top 6 drives in that chart have almost identical read speeds, they're obviously maxing out the bus.
