cool but what is the point? Do people need single slot? I don't, mATX copes fine with 2 doubles, unless you want tri-fire i guess.

Half height on the other hand is useful for make slim-line htpc cases with gaming grunt.

Interesting, i was a big fan of the single slot 4850, but the cooling was poor. A single slot, cool running 5770 would be nice.

I would like this but they must make a lower powered 5770 without six pin power connector

Damn, I want to make a storm-trooper themed pc just looking at that white cooler with black fan/pcb!

Or perhaps it was meant to go with that In-Win sound proof case...

No room for a dual slot cooler, but enough for a 550W+ PSU and 8 inches of noise dampning foam to hide the scream of a 5000rpm fan?

    makes sense.

Single slot coolers are fine for graphics cards that don't generate as much heat anyway. But when its cards that ATI deemed were hot enough to need a dual slot cooler, that just means you'll end up with a noisy fan and/or a load of heat being dumped into your case.

I think this sounds like a good idea, though the major problem is the cooling. I've got a dual slot 5770 (asus) and if i want another for crossfire then i'd have to remove my PCI wireless and tv tuner cards, this could solve that as long as it's temps are ok and it has a crossfire connection.

Yeah, if the temps are decent, top job.

Also; "We've already seen PowerColor's half-heigh cards, but we al"

    Height? :p

Nice design. I can just see this coupled with a variation of Sapphire's Vapour-X tech to help keep the card cool. (Hint-hint Sapphire) ^^
