My reality simulator is held back by the hardware I'm running it on. :/

The 2000 days bit, though.. Yeah, that could be considered a surprise, but I suppose they've been working on ideas for better games since... Well. Since the begining.

Hence they clearly skimped out on the physics and AI, but went all out on the graphics because that's what sells and is how most people will judge the quality of this game.

2000 days seems quite likely. They've been working on it since before the PS3 was launched - it was talked about at E3 2005 whereas the PS3 was only launched in November 2006.

It would seem more sensible to release it on the PC since the hardware is constantly evolving and has progressed far beyond the capabilities of the PS3.

    PC.. Never going to happen.

Polyphony Digital are a subsidiary of Sony, and their software is a hardware mover.

Sony would never, ever, let that go.

Only way it might happen is if all the staff upped sticks and formed a new studio. Which, given the economic climate and the doubtlessly stable jobs they have..

Nice article, but for all his claims of out-of-context quoting and articles not printing the leading question, he rectifies neither himself. Makes it a rather pointless read really, the quotes point to the conclusions drawn, and he offers nothing to refute them.

While the quotes have been turned into some leading headlines; I don't think they are particularly negative even if they are out of context. To me they aren't an idictment against the abilities of the PS3 but more a statement of the ambition of Polphony to make the best possible console racing game.

Port? It would probably run at about 4 FPS.

If Polyphony Digital is a subsidiary of Sony, they wouldn't want to stop the exclusivity of the GT brand thats tied with Playstation. Why not then release a racing game, or a different version of GT for the PC where they can go all out and do a graphical masterpiece and pitch it for mid-high end machines. I really didn't like the Prologue demo my bro has anyway, if it played better id probably get it for the pc. More of a Forza person myself, far better gameplay i think.
