This is a competition that I did consider entering but although in my head I know exactly what I want, when it comes to putting it on paper I am lost. Some amazing designs already by the forumites ensure this will be a close run contest and I cant wait to see all the final designs.

Some very cool designs. thanks for the feedback I had on the thread! Most of the designs are spectacular, but I like mine the best. LOL.

I have some ideas for this too and am working on a few virtual mock ups.
I am quite excited since I recently got a new SilverStone Raven RV02 case. If you are familiar with that case then you wont be suprised to know where I will get my format inspiration from :D

Although I like all the designs and thoughts behind it. I find that some case designs are to big and impracticable to be made in fabrication.

If I look realistically into the future, 10 3" drive bays or five 5" drive bays are also overdone since you can do enough with 4x2TB drives and one br/dvd burner. Seeing the increase in Tera-bytes every year. A year from now you could predict that five 3" and two 5" drive bays are enough, not to mention the usb3.0 external device possibilities. To really stand out design wise you should probably aim at a mid tower design where one could fit in a 360 rad loop, the primary reason for this being all the WC cooling stuff is jammed into big towers most of the times. Do it in a mid tower and you have struck gold.

    Thoughts?

Don't these get put into production? If so some of the designs are not starters, although they look great they are hugely impractical. Not sure were I would be able to put he LiquibOx. My favorite design is the one by anakha.

My concept is a midi-tower actually, allthough it has space for up to 10 5.1/4" bays. The whole case is 500x225x500mm (h x w x d). That's just 50mm higher/deeper and 10mm wider then a Antec Threehundred and far from the measurements of a full-tower.

    ;)

They are only concepts at this stage - if you think it would be impractical then by all means vote for your favourite or submit something you think is better ;-) They are big, but water-cooling radiators aren't getting smaller so it stands to reason that the designs will need to be large. However, as jrs77 has shown, it's not impossible to design something that's the same size as a midi tower.

Im kinda interested in putting a few days of work in on SolidWorks then Render in KeyShot,
but.... who are these guys, never heard of them before and the company info provided is very, very suspicious?
Just wondering if it is worth the effort for a no-show?
Only one product released two years ago with patent still pending!

Well I managed to put a 240 rad, reservoir, Eheim pump, dvd drive, 3 hd's, CPU block, Chipset block, gpu block and 40x4 lcd into a LILI PC60. (old model) So you don't need to go big, just think very hard on efficient spacing.

If you look through the thread, you can see most people are trying to make the case compatible for at least two radiators, plus a bunch of DVD drives and HDDs. This means making the case bigger, much bigger in some cases :)

I love the stretched Antec 300 look of jrs77's design, would definitely consider something like that for big water cooled systems if it actually makes it to market.
