I do some light gaming, so I'm wondering if the list of games below benefit from budget(ram other then D9s) 2GBs of ram or should I stick with 1GB of uber ram(D9s). the price of overclocking ram is on the rise and I'm not willing to give up $300-$400 for 2 frames. (this is for reference to build my machine)

    Machine:
    E6300(should be OC'd to 3.5-3.6 with D9; without D9, should be less then 3.5)
    P5B-D(no Wi-Fi)
7900GT(should be OC'd to GTX speeds)

    Game:
    F.E.A.R (original and expansion)
    Quake 4
    UT '04 and '07
    C&C zero hour
    Company of Heroes
    Guild Wars (any)

    Thanks

2gb. More > faster. That, and you can run a divider, which will be really useful for clocking.

but I'm thinking of running 1:1 at 500MHz for FBS OC, CPU OC and ram OC.

or am i getting the fundamentals wrong?

I'm planing to use 1:1 divider and up my ram to 500MHz

like i said in my last post :blah:

but 2gb of ram that can get me to 500MHz are over 300$
so I'm not going to spend that much.

will I see a giant difference in the games I play between 2GB and 3.1GHz to 1GB and 3.5GHz

    (This is all estimate)

some games will see a big difference when running on 2gb compared to 1gb. no games will have any difference when running 3.5ghz instead of 3.1ghz
