Previous build information (list details of parts):None selling pc as a whole.
    Monitor resolution: 1920x1080
Storage requirements: 500GB + have external HDD already
Will you be overclocking: yes eventually when I have learned more about it
    Extra information about desired system:

So far I have come up with the following :

Processor : Intel CPU Core i5 2500K Unlocked Sandy Bridge Quad Core 166.98

    RAM : Corsair XMS3 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz CAS 9 XMP Dual Channel 35.94
    PSU : ?
HDD : maybe one faster one for a few games and OS, and a larger one for storage
Case : Wanting a smart case with good air flow not too expensive

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. As mentioned above this is my first build so any feedback will be appreciated, ALOT. Also if I have missed anything that I will need in order to complete my build please post.

This will all be getting ordered when i get my bonus from work on 20/4.

For a PSU the Be Quiet 530w is the one that always gets recommended. I've built two systems with these and they are great. £45.

Thank you very much mate ive been pondering over PSU will it be sufficient for when i upgrade ?

and to the post im thinking of getting a

Z9-Plus Zalman Black Mid Tower Case w/o PSU as it seems to have a few fan options and ive read its good for airflow, will my kit fit inside it worried about my GPU and infact is my graphic card the right choice?

One is 'Micro-ATX' and the other is a full ATX motherboard. Personally I would go P8P67 Pro at the very least, offers more connectivity and also the possibility to go SLI with a couple of Nvidia cards. Also if you were to go for a multi-GPU rig then a 530W PSU would be a little wimpy. Although that's only if you had future plans for crossfire or SLI!

Yeah if hes doing alot of 'competitive gaming' I suppose he would be considering sli in the future, if that is the case he could make the investment now and get the P8P67 Pro. The P8P67-M Pro - about £45 less - will do SLI but your limited with the smaller space etc (although its still a good mobo and if price is an issue its something to consider).

If you're going down the sli route, this is a decent psu here

Honestly, I wouldn't really consider SLI or crossfire. Due to the fact that in two years time while you could pay 50% for about 70% more performance, you pay for it in noise and power consumption.

I would say stick to a single card solution, and if necessary upgrade in the next two generations of GPU. The gains will be quite substantial and the power consumption at worst will be equal.

thanks for information, i dont mind paying a little extra for a PSU that will not have to be upgraded for alonger period,

    1. The case i have chosen will my GPU fit in fine?

    2. And other then above would you say my system will run games on high graphics ok?

A case like the Antec 300 should work. And what case DID you chose?

Outside of that the GTX560 should fit most cases well enough and it should run most if not all games on high perfectly.

Thanks and sorry I should of edited post to make it easier.

Im thinking Z9-Plus Zalman Black Mid Tower Case w/o PSU looks OK and has several fans available to use.

    Cheers

Again, we're building quite similar systems at the moment. Have you checked Scan's 'Today Only' deals? The MSI GTX560 TWIN FROZR is currently on for £180, a good price. I imagine it will keep cropping up in the next couple of weeks, so keep your eyes peeled. I bought mine this weekend as it was the same deal then as well.

If you can afford the extra cash, you can nab a HAF 912, HAF 922, or a Fractal R3. That case doesn't look bad, but you won't regret spending a bit more on a case. Saves you that buyer's remorse when snipping costs.

Plus with that deal if you order now, that 20 can go to it.

Just in case you've not already seen it, here's a link to the buyers guide which fits right in with your budget. Should also give you enough wiggle room to upgrade the GPU to a 560ti and possibly the PSU to an Antec truepower new.

But come the 20th the next one will probably be out anyway (hopefully!)

I would lose the Freezer Pro and go with the Hyper 212+ there is only a couple £ difference (in fact it is often on Today only for just £16.xx) it is a much better cooler than the Pro. If on a budget the only reason not to get the Hyper would be if it was too ig. But if going with an Antec 300 you should have no issues.

HDD: Samsung SPinpoint F3 1Tb will be all you need for storage, good price and great performance.

I would definately go for the non M version of the motherboard. Again, if you play it smart you can get it at a great price from Scan Today only deal - they almost always have it along with a 2500K as a small bundle deal
