Okay, I've done a thread on another forum and have gone through trying other RAM, Resetting CMOS etc, but still no luck.

I have a new build with a Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L Mobo, and everytime I go to power it up, I get no display from the VGA port on the Mobo itself.

Everything else powers up fine, all fans and drives etc, but no display.
    Also, there's no BIOS beeps.

What can I do ? :wallbash:

Might just be the port itself that's dead... have you tried using a GFX card and/or another monitor?

(Sorry if you have, just that etc. is a bit vague :p)

    Btw... welcome to bit-tech :)

    Thanks for the welcome :p

I have also tried plugging in a USB keyboard, and none of the lights come on on it.

It's a pain, but re-seat the cpu and heatsink, make sure the heatsink is on and the pins that hold it on are all locked in place. While you're doing this, make sure there's nothing ont he bottom of the cpu or in the socket. Also, re-seat the ram and ensure the ATX connector and EPS/12V connectors are in. Basically give it the double-check that everything's plugged in. Also make sure the headers are plugged in correctly (reset/hdd led/pwr etc).

It may sound daft, but sometimes it can be something fairly simple that's gone unnoticed.

Okay, I know the CPU fan has only 2/4 pins down because whenever you push one side in, the other side pops up :duh:

That might be it. try spreading the pins a little once you've pushed it through so it doesnt pop out, sounds like its not going through far enough to catch...

Have you read the manual. any jumpers that need changing or reset the bios? Try just one stick of ram. or the other components that you can in another PC to see if they work

It may even be that the bits you rotate to lock/unlock the pins on the hsf are in the 'unlock' position.

I had my power header in upside down, and those 2 wires cost me 5 minutes of "Wtf, it won't turn on" Double check the connections, and header pins.

Maybe you need a hdd sata driver or tried the wrong driver, I know when I had to use a driver it wasn't named very well, there was a choice of like 6 on the disk and my one was S637a Intel-Generic or something stupid >_<

It's because in the bios you have sata set to ahci. Set it to ide.
