Funny because your post is post number 2,086,518 yet the main forums states 1,998,460 so I'm not sure where the remaining 88,058 posts are. :eyebrow:

    Cake, what cake?

I think the 88,000+ posts account for all the spam in the demot thread.

Deleted posts. vBulletin won't fill in the post ID's that it has deleted, it will simply increment them.

Meaning there is 88,058 deleted posts. Or there's another reason.

I believe you can fix that by re-running the post/thread calculations in the admin panel.. though I don't know how hard it'd be on the BT forums..

That would make far too much sense for Bit Tech.

    Far, far, too much sense.

The most sensible plausible reason would be something about the number of times cheese cake is mentioned/thought about on a day to day basis.

You mean those are the posts which are NOT about cheesecake or relix, or devalue them in some way. :p

I thought that at first, but 88,000 permanently deleted posts?!? :jawdrop:

Forum has been running since March 2001 so that's 8 1/2 years, so about 3100 days, so we are deleting 28 posts a day, every day. Wow.

EDIT: Actually, whatever happened to that babe thread, that's where it's gone I think...

    True enough!

The babe thread died when Mankz started posting in other threads, because the pictures followed him around.

Made the thread kinda redundant, really.

    Were you even born then?

On a semi-related note, when was the last time someone updated that forum welcome message at the top of the screen before you log in? It's still on 1.6 million posts and 30K members.
