I've narrowed it down to 2 cases. Cosmmos S and Antec 1200 I'll be using a standard 3x120 and 2x120 rads. With ddc+ with res top CPU and single GPU blocks. For the cosmos S, the tripple in the top and the double in the front drive bays. For the Antec, Tripple in the front (drive bay) and the double flush screwed to the rear leaving the fans inside bolted to the rad outside, to make the rad fit flush against the chassis I think the antec can be done well, and done tidy. Pump > Cpu > double rad (outside case) > GPU >Tripple rad > Pump I've got 90 degree elbows so I'd need to 90 degree bend in 8 Cm what do you think. try it. or just go with the cosmos S 'cos it's easy. Any feed back would be cool, I'll be getting in sometime friday to collect from scan on Saturday, so info asap Please.
Depends how much of a challenge you want! Personally, I'd opt for the tried and trusted Cosmos for Watercooling.
Wasn't one of his choices. I'd love to see if the 1200 IF it can be done. I'd look into some specific measurements before making a decision on it. That being said, I absolutely love the look of the Cosmos 1000, and the Cosmos S. If only I could have picked up one of the Black Labels when they were out... It's everything I wanted in a case.
I just can't bring myself to like the Antec X Hundred cases. I don't know why, but never really appealed to me. That being said, it would be nice to see one of them WC'd as apposed to a Cosmos which has been done time and again.
There's still one for sale in Hungary, if you're desperate enough. But more realistically, CM recently came out out with a mass-produced black Cosmos anyways.
For going with the Antec 1200 your either brave or stupid But seriously, I truly wish you the best although the Cosmos S would have been a hundred times easier and better but its up to you... Air cooling - Antec 1200 Water cooling- Cosmos S That simple EDIT: Dude you missed out big time: http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?cm-cosmosb sell your 1200 and buy it NOW NOW!!!!
The Pure is nice, but I want the window to show off my sexy hardware... The Black Label is EXACTLY what I want, but I will probably settle for a Corsair Obsidian 800D. Good luck with the 1200.
I'm in the US... The Pure listed on CM's site doesn't have the side panel window... Wtf. I would have ordered one when they were in stock a few weeks back if I had seen a window.
The standard cosmos sucks for major water cooling Has to be a cosmos S As for brave or stupid I'll wager you an "e-pint" (make/get A good photo of a pint with your or my name in it, depending who is righ) I bet I can get a "tidy" double and tripple rad in an antec 1200 with no bits hanging off the outside.
Update please on how your build is going? EDIT: Pics would be nice so I can mock you with scrupious detail
Protip - the dual rad for the rear can fit on the inside, so you don't have to bother with an external rad. Just a thought...
Just bit of advise about that antec case, with that 240 being mounted externally I suggest you get some longer screws than the ones provided as the rad will fit a bit weirdly due to the extruding 120 x 2 fan vents on the rear of the case...yes I did have an antec 1200 case and yes my PC is Watercooled...I actually went for a 240 x 2 rads in the front bottom 2 drive bays, worked fine and I Could fit my 2 x DVD rewriters and my card slot thing and my 1 drive water bay. With that 360 rad in the front your gonna need a drive mount for it such as a sharkoon rebel fan fram Clicky to mount your 360 rad in the drive bays PS the 240 rad can fit internally but I believe you need to get the right sized rad to allow it to be mounted on the rear fans internally, as with the big boy fan at top I found it does extrude a bit more than I originally thought, someone has done this without any problems from a picture I saw but no idea what rad brand or make it is
XSPC RS240 here - no problems mounting it internally. Of course, you don't to worry QUITE so much about the Big Boy's airflow if you're water-cooling everything. It'll sure help, though, so yeah, that's a good call on checking. The RX240, for example, might be slightly more restrictive.
