    hi guys

Im after 2 wall mountable speakers as i dont always where my headphones.

I dont need anything amazing but want a decent set of speakers to cover the odd game and bit of music

budget is about £100 or plus brackets
brackets must tilt and pan as i will have to have the slightly above my head on the wall

must have 3.5mm or optical SPDIF as i just use onboard sound. i would prefer they were not massive either as i have dont have a lot of width on the wall for the bracket - less than 20cm of usable space either side

    Any suggestions ?

    thanks in advance

I've read / heard good things about the Microlab Solo 6c speakers. As for the brackets, I'm sure that Richer Sounds would have something that would work :)

    Edit:

    Solo 6c - £69.83

    Brackets - £29.95

Total - £99.78 - even enough left from your £100 for a Freddo bar :)

yeah they look pretty good but they are too big :(

i have a blind on my wall and about 20cm either side so they get in the way

    10mm too big :(

I have some Logitech PC speakers that are wall mountable and small, but they won't be a patch on those Audiolabs... I wonder if the smallest of the KRK Rokit G2 series would fit?

EDIT: No. All of the Rokit stuff is too big!

Genelec make some tiny monitors, but I think the cheapest set might be out of your budget, I'm not sure I am quite out of touch with such things.

i know 10mm annoying but if i need a bracket and turn them slightly it would definitely prevent the blind opening

    hmm

EDIT - what about wireless speakers ? could perhaps have better luck with them but not sure on quality

I've not looked into wireless speakers for a long time but the last time I did they were LOADS of money...

anyone got or seen a pair of the creative T30's ?

they are bluetooth which may work quite nice but id need some universal speaker brackets that will tilt

My main problem is these are tilted 10 degree up as they are supposed to be on the desk !

I have and love the Microlab 7Cs, if you can't fit the 6 then can you manage the 1Cs?

T30s aren't proper wireless, they just have the ability to stream TO via bluetooth. Very misleading product it would seem! They are effectively new revision T20s I think.

I use Creative Gigaworks T40 series 2 speakers, they are only 90mm wide and the base is 110mm wide at the front widest edge, measured my speakers and if you turn them at approx 45 degrees to face you they are still only about 180mm wide at the widest point, they do lean back at a slight angle but are still only approx 170mm deep, assuming height is not an issue they are approx 320mm high, they also sound damn good

This may be a silly suggestion, but wouldn't a 2.1 system solve your problem? You'd have no problems fitting the satellites in, many just need a hook for wall mounting as they're so light. So long as the sub fits under your desk you're good to go.

EDIT: there's a reasonable chance I've missed the point, but just thought and out-of-the-box suggestion might be worth adding :)

hmmm i guess it could if the sub wasn't too big as i could put it on my desk to one side. i don't think the floor wouldn't really work as it would be in the way.

    suggestions ?

I have the T40's and am impressed. I don't think they sound as good as the Solo 6C's but they do have a far smaller footprint.

(I have the T40's and my brother has the 6C's)

shame you budget is £100 otherwise you could opt for 2 Minirigs, which would be amazing and would have the benefit of being able to take them with you where ever you go. You could start of with one if you want.
