Why ever not? Cheap flights are a plenty for short weekends away in the EU. Pick a place that has nice surroundings, cheap drink and good food and make a proper trip of it! Prague, Amsterdam, Madrid, Paris... a wealth of location.
a suggestion to those who whinge about train prices - consider flying. if you book in advance and choose options wisely you get a return to toon for like £15. or anywhere else. I won't be attending if it ain't toon/leeds based I'm afraid, gone are the days when emzi could afford to travel to london to meet up with varying bit members n giggle about illegal substances in weatherspoons! 'ee. Unless some1 pays for me, then i'll show up.
Count me in if its Oxford, a quick hop on the train for me, up to London i go, and across, hopefully First Great Western wont have any delays, i asume there is a direct train from London Paddington to Oxford? Other wise i can go to winchester Sat and Sun are fine for me also, weekdays are not so good, Sat, Sun and Mon are good for me i should say, and can i ask for more info, thanks Sam I realize im fairly random, but im happy to help out good honest people, and i dont work for those stupid Loan advert people Waitrose for the win, im upperclass you see
doubt i could get to oxford for a nice price O,o perhaps a wee bit further north, but im pretty much a noob here so i would probably just be a gatecrasher anyway
28 quid by train if you buy it in advance, all are welcome and people are welcome to stay over in chez fev A. if i know you or B. you pay a damage deposit
