Just watched BT sports season preview. All good except Melonsie Sykes ...

 

To be fair, if the choice is between Murdoch and BT, it's pretty much like choosing between the least worst STD.

A. Espagaro fastest in FP2, in the ~1:54.9 range, followed by Dovi and Marquez.

Seems the Ducati is about 1 second faster on a soft tyre compared to a hard. Pedrosa and Marquez are yet to go out on soft tyres, presumably meaning they'll start to claim 1st and 2nd in FP3 later

Redding 16th, 1:57.296, on that slow production Honda

 

top speed is very important at losail, A espagaro is fast for one lap but he is 15kmh down in the speed traps. tech3 is looking strong for race day, and never discount honda. lorenzo has thrown all of his toys out of the pram, he really doesnt like the new bridgestones.
my predictions for race day are : marquez, bradl, pedrosa

crutchlow's bike forgot where it was and so had wrong power/TC etc in all the wrong places. Gutted for bradl and smith! Rossi and MM was awesome, trading paint jobs on a couple of occasions. Shame for Jorge too, he is not a happy man at the moment, not one bit!

 

This season is going to be a very interesting one!! Good to see Rossi showing he's still not to be given quarter. Jorge was just in an angry mood and angry Jorge usually ends up on the deck. Too much too soon from the new rubber. Lots of talking points from this weekend and can't wait for the next race.

 

It was a interesting first race, though kinda miss Eurosport HD as i only have BT sport SD.

Quite a few issues on the bikes though that will be sorted over the next few races, shame to see Smith fall off but Redding had a good ride to finish ahead of Hayden.

MM and Rossi a very good battle, Dani seemd pretty happy to sit back and take third- though with Jorge and Bradl both off it did change the result quite a bit.

 

Going to get really interesting round about mid-season when the factory boys start to run out of engines.

JLs bike looked seriously 2nd hand after just 5 (and a half) corners.

Yep, I'd say Jorge is down 1 engine already...

 

If either Honda or Yamaha run out of engines you will proably see the rules changed, not really going to have a race without the top riders.

 

Ripped the tank clean off

 

It's only a plastic cover, the real tank is between the spars of the M1's frame.

If anyone ever crashes hard enough to rip that off
