I was never really worried about my P67 board "failing" but I cant wait to get a B3 installed so I dont have any worries years down the line.

A friend of mine has had the Asus N73 for a couple of weeks now. Is there a way of knowing if his lappy is affected?

Laptops should normally be ok as this only effected ports 2 and 3 i belive and most laptops will only use 0 and 1.
THough I am sure Asus would have a support document somewhere

At least I can have the peace of mind that something's not going to die in a few years... I just hope that Asus and MSI will do advance replacements!

I'm interested in the ssd caching.. Although i'm not sure it's worth waiting to jump on board initially and i'm equally unsure whether i can wait untill April, seeing as these revised (B3) P67 boards are impending i might just wait for those to hit the shelves.

Basic difference I see is that it allows you to both overclock and use IGP.

so, this is interesting. Egg put up a bunch of open box 1155 boards today. is newegg re-selling defective boards returned under the recall? can they do that? especially without some type of disclaimer?

EDIT: and now, a few hours after posting...they are gone! WTF is going on here?
