    Hi,
Quick question as i'm not really up on laptops configured like this. I got a new Ultrabook that came with a 20gb ssd cache card, is there an point in keeping this in the machine when i'm installing a 120gb ocz sata ssd drive?

    Cheers.

I would think it's significantly slower than the ocz so unless you're desperate for the extra 20Gb then there seems to be no reason to keep it in.

Cheers Sam__ thats what I was thinking, i'll run a crystaldisk bench on the 20gb and see just how slow it is. Storage isn't an issue as i'm ditching the optical bay and replacing it with a 500gb 2.5" drive.

If it's an mSATA card it might actually be a decent speed, and worth keeping if you can run it as a second SSD (basically increasing your usable space by 20GB). Pointless using it as a cache though.

If you can, you might keep the 20GB ssd as a cache drive for the 500GB hdd.

Month late haha, just thought you'd all be interested to know the m-sata actually benches faster than the ocz ssd.
