Camel - Rhayader Chemical Brothers - Star Guitar Dire Straits - Skateaway Dream Theater - Take the Time Rush - Witch Hunt Doesn't even begin to cover my taste in music though... top 50 songs may be a start XD
Impossible choice really, and TBH if I was pushed I'd probably pick 5 Pink Floyd tracks, but as it is I'll just settle for one that hasn't been mentioned already: Pink Floyd - Echoes Robert Plant - I Believe BB King - The Thrill Is Gone Pearl Jam - Yellow Ledbetter Foo Fighters - Everlong Actually, I just realised while picking those that it's more the memories that I have attached to songs that makes them special to me, rather than just how 'good' I think they are.
My ~top 5 atm: 1) Greenday - Longview 2) Linkin Park - What i've done 3) Radiohead - Creep 4) Coldplay - One I love 5) Pink Floyd - Wish you were here Spine tingles are awesome, even better are whole body tingles, the ones that make goosebumps appear everywhere... even by simply thinking about cool songs we like can do this Endorphins, the easiest and cheapest hit you can get
Ask an impossible question why don't you! It's gonna have to be piecemeal, but right this minute, 4 are: Creedence Clearwater Revival - Have you ever seen the rain Debussy - Clair de Lune Patrick Cassidy - Vide Cor Meum based on A ciascun'alma presa Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell - Ain't no Mountain High Enough Finally, 5th one: Guns n Roses: Don't cry Not in my top five but has to have a special mention: Black Sabbath - Fluff But just for the record, Dire Straights make me want to shoot myself in the ears
+1 On the Creedence Clearwater Revival - Have you seen the rain a great track And another old one The Hollies - The air that i breathe Another good one UB40- Kingston Town Aimee Mann & Michael Penn - Two of Us Pearl Jam- Just Breathe eLi - Hypocrite Song Tbh I listen to such a wide range of music it would take the whole thread to post them all
#1 Astral Projection - Ambient Galaxy #2 The Offspring - The Kids Aren't Alright #3 NOFX - The Decline #4 2pac - Hit 'Em Up #5 Green Day - Basket Case Those are all songs that I will always love. To me, they are timeless and will always be great. #2,4 and 5 might be on that list because they are linked to childhood/teenage memories but I think this is part of what makes a song great. #1 is hypnotic and has the same effect now as it did when I first heard it almost 10 years ago. I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. # 3 Wakes me up, primes me up and gets me singing every single time I hear it. When it's over I'm always a little sad because I want the fun to continue
The problem is that there's so many songs that I won't mention even if I love them. Kanye's I wonder comes to mind.
At the moment these are mine: Iced Earth - Something Wicked Trilogy In Flames - Colony Amon Amarth - The Pursuit of Vikings Heaven Shall Burn - Black Tears Dimmu Borgir - Progenies of The Great Apocalypse
- Nofx -Seperation of Church and Skate - Misfits -Helena - Nightwish -Amaranth/beauty and the beast - Whitesnake -Forevermore - Fleetwood Mac -Rhiannon
I could never pick my top 5 songs, it changes every day and every mood... Citizen Erased and Song for the Dead are probably likely to be in it regularly though, although to be honest I've not listened to Origin of Symmetry for months and months and it's probably my favourite album.
Can't fit all of them but those were top 5 right now. Wish I could put all of them but would take up whole thread XD.
Different day, different mood. Top 5 for now: Dire Straits: Telegraph Road (Alchemy live album version) Lou Reed: Venus in Furs (Animal Serenade live album version with Jane Scarpantoni on cello) Fat Les: Vin-da-loo Derek & the Dominoes: Layla Dire Straits: Going Home
It really depends on my mood, but right now: Slayer - Angel of Death Mastodon - Divinations Pantera - Cemetary Gates Nile - Those whom the Gods Detest In Flames - Ordinary Story
I'm so deep and eclectic that 5 songs can barely contain the vast nuances of my tastes, which naturally vary according to my chakra and the phase of the moon.
OK this is really hard. 5 songs regardless of mood hmmm.... 1. Led Zeppelin - When the Levee breaks 2. Pink Floyd - High Hopes (Nightwish version is also good) 3. Dire Straits - Telegraph Road 4. Fleetwood Mac - I'm so Afraid (from their live 1997 reunion album) / Rhiannon Both have very powerful lyrics 5. Nightwish - Bless the Child / Amaranth Now, this list can change depending on the point in my life and is very different if I feel like listening to heavy stuff / light stuff. Love all of these too
1) Rise Against-Hero Of War 2) Propagandhi-Coach's Corner 3) Sum 41-Fat Lip 4) Killswitch Engage-Holy Diver 5) Sisters Of Mercy-Temple Of Love Constantly changing though...but these are all amazing
