Antony gets his hands on the finest pre-braided cables money can buy. http://www.bit-tech.net/modding/2012/06/18/shakmods-pre-braided-cables-review/1
They're 300x250 images (with 300x250 in the filename) - a common ad format size. If you're using AdBlock Plus or similar, it'll assume the images are adverts and block them.
If you're on Firefox, drop the main tools menu down and go to the bottom, you should see Adblock Plus. Just tell it to show the page.
Forgot how annoying the internet was without Adblock D: Very nice cables though, might have to pick some up
If it was white and orange, it'd look exactly like the cableforms used in military jets (which are extremely shiny because they're made out of mineral wool braiding, which is fireproof).
GOD DAMMIT DON'T ENCOURAGE HIM Anyway; I wonder if I can get it with Male connectors at both ends, so I could outright replace the cables on my Strider with these? I only need 30CM for the Motherboard connector, 20 ish for one of the EPS 12vs.
What's up Mankz, tried it & made you go mad or just tired of seeing really nice cable work?. Only real thing I've come across when doing it is it can bulk up cables to a point where it can make things a bit impractical, but with good planning for the extra bulk it wouldn't be a problem. I'll always sleeve fan cables now at least but all the others I want to come up with something new & as nonrestrictive as possible or even just use black wires & keep them as stealthed as possible so it almost looks like there is no power cables but not by soldering or fixing to the other side of a mobo, so will be a challenge & I'm yet to design the idea fully but p0Pe is onto the right idea & doing it perfect, really doubt I could do any better than that. Sleeving can test patience especially first time, first time isn't much fun at all, this I do know. These ready made solutions are great for people who like the end result but hate the effort.
So Now I can see the images I have to have the ads as well... Nice. Why can't Bit-Tech use a different format to differentiate between images and ads. I do not want the ads full stop. If that means losing the images then so be it, but the long run will mean I will probably stop reading Bit-Tech as much.
Hi SchizoFrog. It's not something we did on purpose, it's just a couple of key images required a slightly different image ratio than we usually use and unfortunately the resulting resolution happened to be one that ad-blockers don't like. We'll refrain from using this resolution in future so there should be any more issues.
