im really tempted to get the 21:9 dell but the lack of game support is making me think twice.

Also if 21:9 stays very very niche then even future games wont bother sorting their HUDs or FoV for that aspect ratio

You can just run at 1920x1080 if the game doesn't support 21:9 I believe?

yeah but then whats the point of 21:9 ?

put it this way if i buy a 27" 2560x1440 all games will work with this aspect ratio if i opt of the 21:9 some will some wont.

They will still work and you'd be able to play them as if you had a 16:9 monitor. On the other hand the other 90% of modern games that do support it or can be adapted to are glorious. For instance in Dragon Age: Inquisition, the field of view is such that it tricks my head into thinking that the trees etc are actually about to brush up against my ears as they disappear off the edges of the screen.

yep if I game at 16.9 I still have 27" 2560x1440 but have not needed to yet as most games support 21.9 or there is a fix via widescreen fixer

Everything ive read online points to issues and fixes which cant frankly if im forking out 400 pounds shouldnt have to put up with that

Looks like as cool as 21:9 sounds I may stick with 16:9 and 2560x1440

    toooo muchhhhhh choice !!!!!

reading the bit-tech round up seems like 120Hz TN monitor might be a good choice ?

My PC is almost used entirely for gaming so is it worth getting an IPS panel ? Would i be better off with a nice quick TN ?

Good TN panels are better than low end IPS (imho), because although you might sacrifice a tiny amount of colour depth, you gain a better quality product overall.

I'm running an Asus MX299Q 29" 21:9 Ultra-wide, personally I could never go back to non wide screen now and I've had no issues in the gaming department whatsoever :thumb:

what type of games do you play 23RO-UK ?

bit-tech didn't pick up any issues but when i read online lots of people have issues.

I guess i mainly play strategy games, APRG's or traditional RPG's sometimes some FPS but not a lot
