Some of you may have seen me spaffin' this question about in irc, but the whole 15k of people aint in there, so im asking here.

I NEED a fan controller that will power my Delta fan. Its one of those monster 190cfm 120mm ones. Currently switched off as my case is on wheels and i have no way of powering it down :p

I have found a 24watt automatic thing (that pyramid thing) ive found 20 watts, i have found a 20 watt quoting it can hold a delta of this size, but they say don't hold them responsible to this.

    Muchos help needed

Are you ever going to use it at 12V?
Why don't you just get a quieter fan with a lower amperage and use any fan controller?

I kinda come to this conclusion...
I may keep this delta somewhere else, although it has a nice long lead so i can
blow away things in the hot summer...
or roll on 3.8ghz in the summer :p (from 2.8)

:search: the electronics forum. I'm sure there's a link to the schematics to the right kind of fan controller.

Diobus, works great for them Deltas. I used to have one, although even at 7V it was still a bloody loud fan! But all that air being shoved through a Swiftech kept things nice n cool.

And the fact that youre even considering buying a 3.8 means you have much more money than sense. If youre thinking of overclocking, good luck with that; Froggy's 2.8 Wont do 3.6 willingly on water.

go watercooling instead and save the old ear drums for when you are an OAP.
