I've just bought a 27" monitor with a 2560 x 1440 resolution but when I go to change the display the adjuster only shows a maximum of 1920 x 1080.

    I'm running Windows 10.

What graphics card are you running?

Also, what is the monitor make and model?

See. He really is the worst one. He's so unhelpful!

Yes -almost guaranteed, it's a single-link DVI cable, or HDMI.

I can't help it. I'm incredibly, incredibly lazy. To the point where I qualify for a disabled parking badge.

We're not all from the IT generation, calculators only just hit the market when I was studying for my O'levels, I got a new state of the art, new fangled and expensive digital watch for my eighteenth birthday, didn't use the word "computer" I guess before the age of 25 and bought my first PC when I was well into my 40's.

What little I do know now about them has been self taught or by research and help from those who know a lot more than I do.

Thanks for the helpful replies, I've sorted it by changing the HDMI cable for the DVI-D.
