AOC is budget so it's not going to win any awards but I'm sure it will be perfect for a gaming display.

An Exerciser in: contradiction in terms? Or do you mean when you game you don't care about the colors, faulty pixels ect? :worried:

It won't be the best of monitors but it should be good enough :)

I had an AOC in the past and it was fine.

Colours or pixels are much less noticeable in a typical fast moving, interactive game than anything else.

Just have an eye out for the usual stuff cheap monitors skimp on. Stand, OSD, input lag perhaps?

I doubt it'll have any issues with input lag. The budget IPS monitors often beat out their premium breathen in this regard because the frames don't go through an image processor (because there isn't one)

You'd be amazed how slap happy many gamers are. I've seen threads where they would take your head off for using Vsync, meaning that basically they put up with the tearing and some don't even notice it :jawdrop:

And the amount of Crossfire users who were living a lie right up until AMD were exposed and forced to put in a fix. Seriously, for all of those years where Crossfire simply didn't work properly you'd lose your head for daring to say it was stuttery and crap.

I tried Crossfire with two 5770s and it was truly appalling. I did nothing but complain all of the time I was using it. Yet the amount of 'gamers' who said "I have no issues" and one on OCUK who hounded me because I dared to say it was crap and hurled insults such as "There are no issues with Crossfire you don't know how to install a driver".

I must admit I don't use expensive screens for gaming. I always go with the budget ones and put my money into GPU/CPU horsepower. However I do have pretty high standards, given how sharp my eyesight is.

If it's anything like mine then you will be in for a surprise. It may only be 1080p but games and movies are stunning for me. I would reccomend the monitor I use in a heartbeat :D
