i'll be honest, 2560x1440 isn't that great for general work. i have to sit forward to read text in steam chat, or any text that is displayed at normal size.

Yes, it's a bit small at 27inch.. it's a bit like 22inch at 1920x1080, but you can increase DPI settings. Everything will be bigger, but smoother like on the picture above. Or simply increase font size. Just small ideas on how help out your setup.

It's amazing working at that res! If you have to squint at it when sat at a desk then you might need glasses....

    LOL

I think going for a proper 27" with the 2560x1440 resolution would mean I'd have to fork out an extra £150 for a GPU that would be able to handle it properly in games. Hence, I'd rather settle for a smaller screen, and perhaps add a second monitor for dual work and play purposes...playing games in 3-way monitors would still require a beefy GPU with 3GP...but something I can decide down the line.

I have been basing all my computer build and research for everything off the fact that I play most of my games at 1920x1080. If the Dell Ultrasharp is the best thing going, then I see no reason to get a bigger screen. I will probably just buy another one in the immediate future to multitask.

Separate question, my build includes a GTX 570 1.3GB SC (I am basically taking the bit-tech gaming build with a few storage mods). Do I need to run dual/triple SLI to get maximum performance from two monitors? Keep in mind I wont be dual screen gaming anytime soon.
