You know, it would have to be close to that price for me to be tempted.

Been an AMD fanboi for far too long... :sigh:

The bowing on the board on the IO shot is terrifying! How many traces would snap once that things bolted down in a case. No thanks

But it must be a great motherboard, it has "LEE7" on the heatsink?

Don't like the look of the bend on that PCB one little bit. That cannot be healthy!

I saw these on Newegg and the feature set left me scratching my head. By the price alone I thought it was some sort of scam product. Honestly had no clue it was made by ECS. Given the short life of my last ECS board (aprox. 1 year), I can't see myself buying another one of their products. To be fair though I did have a hefty OC on my CPU.

Exactly! My ECS board lasted 6 months and then went boom. Won't buy another!

I didn't realize ECS still made boards. It isn't their cheapest Z97 board, that winner is the Z97-PK for £50. In the £65 range I would go for an ASRock or Gigabyte.
**What is this 99 hours replacement service? They will replace it within the first 99 hours?

This board is currently in my main machine, does the job fine with a 4670K.

Only problem I did have was with a Pentium K, the stock bios doesn't support clocking with it but the CS got back to me with a modded one that worked fine.

ECS have made some junk in the past but I have also had some great budget boards from them.

Would sooner give ECS a shot for peanuts than give say MSI business for some of the utter dross I have had from their premium prices platinum stuff in the past.

I managed to get Biostar Hi-Fi Z97WE for £65, which I was pretty chuffed about. For that kind of money you really don't expect much but this board looks like a bargain for a cheap anniversary Pentium, gaming build.

I've had my eye on that Biostar for a while now - on paper, it looks exceptional value. What's your verdict on it, JCBeastie, particularly on the audio side?
