News AMD announces LiquidVR technology

    Nvidia have also revealed details on VR direct in another GDC talk. VR Direct and Liquid VR are basically two different implementations of the exact same techniques: asynchronous timewarp, latched rendering (wait until just before VSYNC to fire off drawcalls), dedicateD GPU-per-eye rendering, and as-late-as-possible warping.
    Liquid VR also mentioned potential (explicitely not implemented) for updating the warp during Rolling Shutter scanout, but everyone seems to be moving to Global Shutter (including HTC Vive) so if it's no longer needed nobody may bother developing it.
