    I know this 'could' be pretty serious if used in a real world exploit pigging backing of some sort of privilege promotion flaw, but back in the real world of today this is an issue that means if someone with malicious intent gets root level access to your computer they can cause you have to have a very bad day / week.

    So focussing on that and that alone - this changes nothing.

    One difference is how difficult it would be to detect something like this, I mean the exploit code could potentially be running before POST/BIOS has even completed.

    How to detect(or even read) code( with hardware uberoot privileges ) running outside windows ?
