Nice idea, but not for me - I check bit-tech more often than my email!

Get a life, I know

And if, after 5 years, somebody wanted to give the podcast lads a kick up the rumpus - we'd have a real ballgame...

Yeah, I think I'm in the same boat as Spreadie and Otis1337. Seems a little pointless as I'm on here quite a lot anyway.

    Yeah, Podcast.

I know its a ballache to record, mix etc, but its by far my favourite and most convenient way of getting tech news and analysis. I listened to Techreports every week up until Scott Wasson left to join AMD, and I'm currently really enjoying Maximum PCs. If I had my way I'd prioritise it over pretty much all other site content.

Just for poops and giggles, you could feature a guest forumite on each podcast, just shooting the breeze making occasional quips in between your coverage. I would enjoy that immensely.

    Lol.

If you are going for poops and giggles, make a single podcast with 90% bloopers. Cut finger, OUUUCH!!! *@^#%*&$*(). Smashed thumb, OUUUCH!!! *@^#%*&$*(). Dropped part, Da*n it!!! *@^#%*&$*(). Who the he11 farted?

    And so on.

Then post it on YouTube, I bet it would get 1,000,000 hits. Remember the disclaimer and all will be well. :hehe:

Shut up and cast that Pod!

I'm guessing it's probably a little harder these days, with everyone being contract Freelancers etc.

If Joe was on one, that would be awesome. Where is Joe, anyhow? Last I heard he sold his sole to the corporate world, for his words ;)

Last I heard he'd give up the lucrative trappings of journalism to become a nomadic yak-herder in rural Nepal.

    May not be true.

He's still around. You can keep up with him on Twitter @JoeThreepwood and at his blog :)

I don't know what anyone would want to do with his soles though - his feet stink! ;)
