I can't think of any way you could have 2 xPS2 mice and 2x PS2 keyboards on the one system I'm afraid.

You could do it with a USB one, but you really cant go beyond about 3 metres if I remember correctly, before USB starts to fail. I think your best bet would be just to silence the PC. Open it up, check out all the fans inside it, and buy silent fans to replace the current noisy ones. If you have a system thats only making 20db of fan noise, she probably wouldn't mind the thing.

Either get her a laptop or find the quitest stuff you can. WCing can be pretty quite if done right usually most noise is HDD activity optical drives and high rpm small HSF units.

That's not what he asked though.

You can run two mice together, never tried keyboards though but I assume it's fine. Obviously one of the two (mice/kb) will have to be USB.

Could you please post one thread, one forum in future :) ty!

    2 mice/keyboards work together fine.
Afaik you can get PS2 "splitters" which convert a single to double (We had some for barcode scanners at work, which allows input from both KB and a scanner)

There are a number of ways to do it. Your best bet would be an odd little device that can extend USB over a CAT5e cable for quite a long distance, and either use USB devices or a USB->PS/2 converter.

    Something like this: http://www.kvms.com/usb-extender.asp
    Not cheap apparently.
