So msot of my watercooling equipment has 1/4" tubing (which isn't really that great...) and my new pump and block can do 3/8" (i.e. they came with the fittings as well), and thus I want to change to 3/8" fittings without upgrading ALL my stuff, any place to get some? I'm not looking for 1/4" to 3/8", the pump uses the exact same type of fittings as the radiator and reservoir, they're Thermaltake

I could be wrong, but your flow is limited by the thinnest point. So if any point remains 1/4", you might as well stick with that.

Well that's what I mean, I'm trying to find fittings to replace all the 1/4" with 3/8"

IMHO Thermaltake's H2O system is pure crap anyways, and switching over to 3/8" with their rad/waterblocks probably won't make much of a difference. In all sincerity you'd be better off with a quality DangerDen/Swiftech/EK-Waterblocks/Thermochill/D-tek H2O system

i agree with radodrill. Cept thermochill are almost impossible to find and super $$$. Looks as if a full upgrade might be in order...

I don't have that kind of money available to me, it's not by choice, it's by how much I have available to spend on, buying a new block and pump more or less used up my funds for misc items for this month and the next

I got all my 3/8 fittings from Sharkacomputers.com . not exactly cheap but they're very nice.

Chances are that if you're using any Thermaltake parts in your setup (except for maybe a res), it's not going to make a whole lot of difference. Depends on what kind of radiator it is too - I know Tt rads used to be multi-pass 1/4" copper tubing (not sure if newer ones have changed); if that's the case, there's little point changing over the fittings since it's still a pinch point.

    Great, thanks :)

Ooh I see, just checked mine, it's a 10-pass system, and the tubes look very much 1/4"
Well, I guess it looks like I'll be investing in a new radiator too then :sigh:

    Thanks though :)

I think I should be OK if I get one of those BlackIce pro dual-pass 120mm rads?

Swiftech MCR will outperform BlackIce generally.

The Swiftech QuietPower rads have an advantage over the Black Ice GTS when using low-cfm fans.

I like shopping at Petra's Tech Shop

I'm using one of these to cool the radiator

So should I do a Swiftech or BlackIce?

The Swifties generally have a little less pressure drop, but I don't think it'll matter either way.

Ah alright, so I can get the dual-pass BlacIce Pro (it's a bit cheaper, more money saved, the better) and it'll work just as well?

I might be adding a northbridge cooler later on as well since the 680i northbridge likes getting very hot though I was thinking of doing like CPU > Rad#1 > NB > Rad#2 > Res > Pump > CPU

    Edit:

Actually on that note, what would be a good northbirdge block to get and what to put on the southbridge since if I remove my northbridge cooler, I need to remove the southbridge one as well since they're heatpiped
