i have a component which needs 3/8" tubing, and the rest of my kit uses 1/2". what i wanted to ask is, is there any way i could bring the 3/8" into a 1/2" watercooling setup. would it be as so easy to buy a little 3/8" tubing, moisen it, then slide the 1/2" over it, seal it, or could this cause a problem with waterflow etc etc ? any help appreciated, ty
Wimbo - most o/c'ing stores sell them... what component has 3/8" fittings? Wouldn't be a res would it?
ah right, thought there might have been something like that around, cheers BTW, the component is a PSU that is watercooled
i actually bought it from Adam from these boards, i will be attempting this mod also from scratch, nothing like doing a good mod yourself hey i bought it a while back before i had the cash to actually start the watercooling will try and get a pic of it later on for you
Clearflex should go over 1/2" as well..... just dip the end of the tube in a cup of hot water before attempting it, it should go over fairly easily then.... But I get the feeling you're using all 1/2" anyway and want to step it down to 3/8" ?
im actually wanting to run 1/2" all the way round, instead of the odd 3/8" which will end up being out of place
