A block with 2 outlets should have less resistance. However with most setups and a Y straight after the outlets i dont think you will gain anything. The only advantage i can see is if you return each outlet directly to the res.

An application of two outlet i came up with consists of making each outlet go to seperate water blocks (video card, etc), and join again just before the pump.
The reason* for this is that pumps will try to get as much water from its inlet as possible. This is specially true* with a modded DCC pump where the inlet is 1/2" and outlet is 3/8" and you are using a "2x3/8" to 1x1/2" Y connector".

    * These are only my opinions, it hasn't been tested nor scientifically proven, so you're welcome to say its completly false.

Split loops are bad, mmmokay? Just don't go there. For starters, 2 x 3/8" is not equivalent to 1 x 1/2".

Centrifugal pumps indeed do not like any restriction of the inlet.

Usually on tripple barbed blocks the point is to have a jet style inlet over the pins letting the liquid out on both sides like the Danger Den RBX, although it has been proven that the same thing can be done with a 2 barb design like the TDX, essentially an RBX with one less barb to deal with. At least thats what I think I know.
