Do people have any good suggestions of other WH40K based titles that are worth checking out?

Warhammer 40k deathwatch is excellent, personally have it on ios as it works really well on touchscreen but also available on steam

Caution - Dev's are no more so not sure whats happening with this being maintained...

Dawn of War 1 & 2 Plus expansions were a favorite of mine. looking forward to Dawn of War 3.

I'd second the vote for deathwatch on IOS.

Full Control's Space Hulk on IOS is good, but a little pricey. Its available for windows too.

Dawn of War 2 (plus expansions) - all excellent, especially Retribution.

Space Marine was a great narrative-driven third-person shooter - shame there won't be a sequel. Highly recommended.

Also of note, Regicide is a good (but flawed) take on Battle Chess in the 40K universe.

40K: Armageddon is an interesting take on the tabletop game based on the Panzer Corps engine.

Really looking forward to Deathwing, though...

this looks really interesting, games workshop went from very few licensed games to having their name on bloody EVERYTHING (there is a 3d angry birds clone...) so it can be hard to weed out the good stuff other than the big names like space marine and dawn of war series.

definitely would recommend dawn of war 2 with its expansions, gameplay varies from RTS to diablo-like clicker and MOBA (first DoW was great especially soulstorm, but it's aged badly). space marine is a dumb but fun 3rd person shooter - both these still have active multiplayer in pvp and horde modes.
i quite enjoy drop assault on mobile, it's basically boom beach with a wh40k skin

gonna check out bf:gothic and vermintide if they ever come on a good sale.

Even though I've preordered this, I'm not expecting it to be mindblowing. Rather, I just like the thought of playing as a Deathwing Terminator with an assault cannon (AKA minigun) or getting stuck in with a thunder hammer and storm shield. I used to collect Dark Angels and thought about starting up a Deathwing only army, so there's that, too. I do expect the game to be a bit repetitive though.

Basically, I think as long as you have an idea of what you're in for and you like the 40K universe, you'll have fun, but others will find it a bit of an average game.

Edit: On a side note, it's good to see the return of hybrids - blast from the past!

    Looks promising. Won't pre-order however.

For other 40K games that haven't been mentioned, Rites of War (an Eldar game using the SSI hex-engine) is on GOG and is very good although I remember really struggling with it years ago.

There's also Battlefleet Gothic: Armada (which was mentioned briefly by gosh...), which is currently on sale on Steam for the weekend IIRC. I enjoyed what I've played of it, but haven't really found the time... more's the pity.

Sounds like its coming with a single player mode, so i'm thinking it'll be a Star Wars:Repubic Commando game using the W40K lore which sounds great to me. Would be good if they added other races as DLC further down the line as well as I think different races using different battle strategies would help avoid it feeling repetative

Looking forward to seeing some gameplay for this. Still love L4D2 and it's pretty much the only multiplayer game that I have indulged in (as online multiplayer is a bottomless pit of scum in my experience) with a few good friends.

I have always thought that the system would work really well for a Colonial Marines / Aliens reskin but this could work pretty well too. Will be interesting to see what sort of 'stealers pop up as the specialists, really hoping for a patriarch at some point as a tank type.

Agree, this is kind of what I hoped Aliens:colonial marines would be like when it was originally announced and shown off - a mod with skins from Alien would be awesome
