£300 for a chair I can't even test sit at a local furniture store? No thanks.
I'll stick to normal office chairs.

I'll be using my £100 chair from my Uni days until the damn thing falls apart. Nostalgia and all.

Ikea Markus, £130. It's not twice better than that is it?

Thanks all the same but I'll hang on to my 17 year old, £35 red office style chair from Argos. It's in pretty good condition for supporting me and my family's butts all that time and if it does eventually fall apart, I'll be spending bog-all near £289.99 for a replacement!

Hell, until I moved recently, I was still using a faux-leather office chair I got for £1 when I bought 30 reams of A4 paper!

    Nearly £300 seems... excessive.

Actually, nearly £300 seems wantonly profligate.

    Paying for the brand, indeed.

You can buy a refurbished Steelcase Leap for less than that. That's where my money will be going

I don't really understand the race seat aesthetic, they look terrible and these type of chairs aren't really any good for sim racing.

Come to think of it, when I went to Gamescom last year, I sat down in a couple of 'gaming' chairs. The damn things were way too hard (1st world problems etc.).

That adjustment/tilt mechanism is one of the cheapest industry-standard ones you can get hold of - the swivel pin is made of the cheapest monkey-metal there is, so after a couple of hundred hours the chair will wobble and creak every time you move.

The rest looks alright though, although the roller blade-style castors will absolutely decimate carpet.
