So, that rogue Intel slide mentioning Vega a while back was accurate?

Didn't they try to play it off that one of the development team had Vega as a surname?

404 for me. Have seen the NUC though and it's awesome. Two versions apparently, but the $999 one (without memory etc) is the tasty one. As quick as a 1060 full SKU apparently.

Link from forum to article doesn't work, 404 error.
Works fine while accessing from bit-tech main site though.

Anyway, I fear the NUC will once again be far too expensive to see any widespread adoption, but this team up should result in some nice Ultrabooks.

Looks like someone added "AMD" to the URL manually post-hitting-"ready for publication" in the CMS ('cos the CMS would never put capital letters in the stub). I can (and will) fix the forum link, but the one on The Socials is out of my reach.

I dunno man this one could be very popular, if it is marketed well. There's just no way to make an ITX build as small. Would be nice if they sold it as an APU and then board makers made boards for it. Can't see that though sadly.

Mind you, I say all of that and AMD are just about to release an APU (a proper Zen one) that costs very little. So this could have a harder time because of that.

Doubt it, these chips are aimed at a very different market - I'm guessing the Intel/Vega package will be at least twice as expensive as the fastest APU, and rightly so with a HBM stack and decent amount of CU's. And that's before you consider that AMD's APU's are designed to be drop-in products for existing AM4 boards VS the specialised boards that will support Intel's MCM package.

Also, the naming scheme for these is SO UTTERLY, RIDICULOUSLY STUPID IT MAKES ME TYPE IN PURE CAPS!!! 8705, 8706... 8709? Then 8809?! And the i5 is branded as 8305? Dat Intel crack must be gooood, man.

    Should have been:

    i7 8750VK
    i7 8750V
    i7 8700V Pro
    i7 8700V
    i5 8600V

I might be in the Market. I have spent ages (and too much cash) trying to build a small, powerful and close to silent as possible.

I hope that they come up with a quiet cooling solution, The blower on my broadwell nuc was a whiney pos
